Dear Rams:
As we move deeper into the semester and the days grow shorter, this is a natural time
to pause and reflect on how far you’ve come, what you’ve learned, and where you’re
headed. November often brings a mix of emotions: pride in your progress, pressure
from upcoming deadlines, and maybe even a bit of fatigue. If you’re feeling stretched
thin or burned out, know that you’re not alone and that it’s okay to reach out for
support.
Resilience isn’t about pushing through without pause; it’s about finding strength
in reflection, growth, and community. Take time to check in with yourself and with
those around you. Are your actions aligning with your goals and values? Are you giving
yourself permission to rest, recalibrate, and ask for help when needed?
As you prepare for the final stretch of the semester, I encourage you to connect with
your academic advisor if you haven’t already. Academic advising and check-ins are
not just about course selection, they’re opportunities to talk through your academic
journey, future plans, and strategies to finish the term strong.
Remember, every challenge you face is part of your growth. Stay grounded, stay connected,
and keep believing in your capacity to adapt and thrive. Farmingdale is proud of your
resilience and the effort you bring to everything you do.
One more thing—we want to hear from YOU. Take a few minutes to fill out the FSC . Your feedback helps us make campus life even better—whether that’s finding new ways
to boost happiness, lower stress, or help you feel more connected.
You’ve got this, Rams. Let’s finish the semester strong—together.
