Breaking Down Neuromyths

Neuromyths are false ideas about the brain, how we think and how we learn. These false ideas can impact our own ability to learn as well as how we teach our students. These mysteries have names such as learning styles, fixed mindsets, and the Mozart Method. They also lead us to believe things such as that we only use 10% of our brain of that your left hemisphere has more dominance on your knowledge then the right hemisphere. These ideas are not grounded in science or represent the best practices of teaching and learning. We invite you to join Dr. Kathryn Hauschild, Dr. Brianna Gonzalez, and Jennifer Jaiswal to understand how we learn and why do we create these myths.
