Commencement 2026

Friday, May 22 at 10 AM | Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum 

Congratulations Graduates! 🎓

We want to make sure Commencement is a day to remember for you and your families. Please follow the checklist items below and check back regularly for updates.

Intent to Graduate form:

  • Please file your Intent to Graduate form with the Registrar's Office by November 21.
  • Failure to meet the deadline may result in your name being omitted from the Commencement program and delay you from receiving your diploma.
  • Students who receive an Award for Academic Excellence can pick-up a green and white graduation cord by presenting their award letter to the Registrar staff during regular business hours.
  • Students who receive Latin honors can pick up a gold tassle at the Registrar during regular business hours.

Caps and Gowns:

  • Commencement attire is mandatory for the ceremony. Try on your gown immediately to make sure of proper fit and check to make sure your bag includes the hood, cap, and tassel.
  • Cap and gowns will be available at the Bookstore. Please continue to check the website for updated information regarding Commencement attire..
  • For pricing and other regalia related questions, please contact the College Bookstore at 631-249-3048 during regular business hours.

Tickets:

  • Please check back for ticket information.

Arrival Time:

  • Please check back for arrival time.

Parking:

  • Parking is free and no parking pass is required. You may park anywhere at the coliseum. For a reference point, the entrance all students and guests will enter through Gate 4 (across from the Marriott). 

Bags:

  • Nassau Coliseum strictly enforces a no-bag policy. While purses, backpacks, and other large bags are prohibited, guests may bring small clutch-style bags no larger than 4.5" x 6"
