Eric De Sena

Eric De Sena is a Classical Archaeologist who has been involved in Study Abroad programs in Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, and the USA since 2003. He was a professor and Dept. Chair at John Cabot University in Rome and taught for the Rome campuses of Saint Mary’s College and Duquesne University. He served a term as Director of the American Research Center in Sofia and is the part-time Director of the American Institute for Southeast European Studies.

As an archaeologist, Eric has worked on projects in Rome, Ostia Antica, and Pompeii as well as small sites in Lazio, Abruzzo, and Tuscany. He led an archaeological field school at the Roman site of Porolissum (Romania).

He joined 51³Ô¹Ï in 2024.
