Jing Betty Feng, Ph.D., is a Professor of International Business at 51³Ô¹Ï (SUNY). She earned her BA and MBA from Michigan State University and her Ph.D. from Georgia State University. Dr. Feng teaches courses in International Business, International Management, Global Strategy, and Creativity and Innovation. Dr. Feng came to academia after seven years of industry experience in supply chain management in global firms such as Dell and Whirlpool.
Her research investigates the dynamics of global business through a focus on intercultural interactions, sustainable internationalization, and the evolving relationship between technology and human behavior. She is particularly interested in how cultural values influence decision-making at both individual and organizational levels. Her work has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management, and Management and Organization Review. She has also authored several white papers supporting international engagement for local businesses and contributing to economic development in the Long Island region. She has served on the leadership team for and as an editorial board member for the Journal of Business Research and EIX – Entrepreneur & Innovation Exchange.
Beyond research, Dr. Feng is passionate about student learning through real-world problem-solving. She previously served as a faculty advisor for the NYS Business Plan Competition and the International Business Club. Currently, she organizes the annual Innovation Challenge to promote multidisciplinary collaboration and creativity among students, while mentoring undergraduates for internships and research opportunities. Her commitment to experiential learning has been recognized through numerous awards and grants that support public interest projects and community-focused initiatives.
