Qinghai Gao

Dr. Qinghai Gao is a Professor in the Department of Computer Security.
Dr. Gao has extensive college teaching experience. He taught full-time in the China University of Petroleum for a few years. From 1998 to 2007 he taught as Adjunct Instructors in Brooklyn College, Lehman College, City Tech., CSI, and York College.
Dr. Gao also worked in IT industry between 2001 and 2009 as Software Developer, Network Engineer, and Information Security Specialist.
Dr. Gao joined 51³Ô¹Ï in 2009. At Farmingdale, he has developed eleven new courses and taught fifteen different ones, nine of which he has developed and taught online.
Recently, Dr. Gao is recognized as a 
Dr. Gao has broad research experience with fingerprint identification and classification, Computer Security, and Cryptography. He has published one book and numerous articles. His present research interests include Biometrics, Cybersecurity, Elliptic Curve Cryptography, and Post-Quantum Cryptography.
