What Youll Need for Advising & Registration

  • DegreeWorks (personalized degree audit)
  • myFSC (to access DegreeWorks & OASIS)
  • FSC Course Catalog (to explore course options)

Step 1: Log In to DegreeWorks via myFSC

Go to myFSC and select DegreeWorks from your student tools menu. Log in using your campus credentials.

Step 2: Review Your Degree Audit

  • Check your completed, in-progress, and remaining requirements
  • Look for outstanding major, general education, or applied learning courses
  • Confirm youve met required grades for English and writing-intensive courses

Step 3: Make a List & Draft Your Schedule

  • Write down courses you need for your major, gen ed, and applied learning requirements
  • Use gen ed requirements to explore new interests or potential minors
  • Consider electives or Nexus Center/applied learning experiences
  • Note questions to ask your advisor

Step 4: Explore Course Options

  • Use the FSC Course Catalog for descriptions, prerequisites, and electives
  • Search for classes in OASIS and take note of CRNs (Course Registration Numbers)
  • Identify regular, hybrid, and online sections that fit your schedule

Step 5: Check for Holds & Book Your Advising Appointment

  • Review your account in OASIS for any holds that might prevent registration
  • Book your appointment with your RAM counselor
  • Screenshot your confirmation email (for FYE 101 homework or your own records)

  • DegreeWorks helps you track degree progress, plan courses, and compare credits if youre considering a major change
  • Add your advising appointment and registration date to your Google Calendar
  • Applied Learning requirements can be met via courses, enhanced courses, or Nexus Center experiences
  • Some majors require you to meet with both your department and your RAM counselor
