As the 10th President of FSC, I am proud of the unwavering commitment, enthusiasm, and forward-thinking nature of our faculty and staff as we collectively remain committed to putting students first.

Like many in our campus community, I am a first-generation college student and the child of an immigrant parent. Sheer grit and hard work allowed my parents to put their children through college. Through this lens, I built my academic career in public institutions, educating and working with some of the most focused, smartest, and most promising students I’ve ever known--an outstanding diversity of students, who are often first generation, often employed outside of their coursework, and often the children of immigrants. I have every confidence that our students will be driving tomorrow’s economy, securing our planet’s environmental health, and building our community and nation.
