Cold Spring Harbor Lab- DNA Workshop

Spring 2025

Students visited Cold Spring Harbor's Laboratory to learn about DNA sequences. In this lab, students compared DNA from 鈥渆vidence鈥� and 鈥渟uspects鈥� using restriction enzyme digest and agarose gel electrophoresis. Students then analyzed the results to draw conclusions about each "suspect."

Career Day

Spring 2025

Students heard from professionals across different fields including science, architecture, entertainment, business, criminal justice (and more!), and had the opportunity to ask questions and network with professionals to help plan for their next steps after high school.

Trip to Suffolk County Courts

Fall 2024

Students toured the Suffolk County Courts facility in Central Islip and took part in a Q & A session with judges, court officers, attorneys, clerks, and other court officials.  Students also witnessed court proceedings and arraignments.
