Jeff Hung, Ph.D ’97
Dr. Jeff Hung is a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) department at 51³Ô¹Ï, where he currently serves as Chair and Professor. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. He is also a certified SolidWorks professional. Dr. Hung’s research interests and expertise include fuel cell bipolar plates, product design, and manufacturing processes. He holds two patents in fuel cell technology and has authored three textbooks on Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) applications. In addition to his technical contributions, Dr. Hung is deeply committed to engineering technology education. He has developed several stackable, manufacturing-related microcredentials and a certification program designed to meet evolving industry needs. He also plays a key role in program assessment and continuous improvement within the MET department.
