Patricia Lind-Gonzalez

Patricia has served as Farmingdale’s Chief Officer for Institutional Research & Effectiveness for 15 years. Patricia was hired as Farmingdale’s first head of the Office of Institutional Research in 2010 following a recommendation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education to establish such an office. Since that time, the office has evolved from a one-person office that solely responded to SUNY, state and federal education agencies’ data mandates to a multi-person office that plays a pivotal role at the College.

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIR&E) has provided the initial data and support for many of the College’s key initiatives, including the Carnegie application for community engagement classification, the RAM Program, the First-Year-Experience program, the ACE program, the EMERGE program, the applied learning graduation requirement, the rollout of micro-credentials and master degree programs, Open SUNY+, and the 2021 MSCHE self-study report to name a few. In the 2021 MSCHE Team Visit Report, the Institutional Research & Effectiveness website was cited as exemplary in its communication of campus data to illustrate growth, gaps and trends.

In the 2024-25 academic year, the OIR&E responded to over 100 requests for data from college constituents, supporting departmental self-studies, grant applications and reports, public relations and community outreach, program proposals, strategic and enrollment planning, etc. In 2021, Patricia took on the additional role of Chair of the campus Assessment Advisory Board, overseeing the campus’ annual assessment reporting. She managed the transformation of annual assessment reporting to an online platform and streamlined the outcomes reporting to include interactive dashboards. Patricia also serves on the SUNY IR Advisory Board.

Patricia holds a baccalaureate degree in Statistics from SUNY Oneonta and a masters degree in Communications from the New York Institute of Technology. Patricia also studied painting at the Water Street Atelier in Manhattan, and when not working at Farmingdale, you will find her working on her paintings, some of which have been displayed at local art galleries, including 51³Ô¹Ï’s Memorial Art Gallery.
