Accessibility on Campus

51³Ō¹Ļ's Disability Service Center (DSC) received a grant from a SUNY initiative to install two accessible automatic wave doors, one for the DSC office and one for its testing center. The DSC also collaborated with Residential Life over the summer to create another accessible room for residents. These projects, supported by the campus facilities team, demonstrate the college's dedication to making the campus more accessible for all students.

Safe Space Trainings

The Title IX Office offers two 1-hour interactive workshops to learn more about the LGBTQ community. The LGBT 101 workshop defines common terminology, explains the difference between sexual orientation and gender identity. The Transgender 201 workshop provides a deeper understanding of the experiences of transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary (TGNCNB) individuals. For more information contact Kathleen Flynn, Title IX Coordinator, at flynnbk@farmingdale.edu or by phone at 934-420-5772.
