The Nancy C. Thomson Mathematics Learning Center (Math Center), located in Whitman Hall Room 181, provides assistance for currently enrolled FSC students who are experiencing difficulties in mathematics courses or in the math required for other disciplines. Tutoring is available at no charge. Hours vary for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
The Math Center is currently offering in-person tutoring on a walk-in basis, and remote tutoring on an appointment basis. Actual tutoring hours will be scheduled by the tutor for the convenience of both the tutor and the student. Requests for a specific tutor cannot be granted. Your cooperation will enable us to provide assistance to all Farmingdale students.
Please be advised:
- In-person tutoring is conducted on a walk-in basis; no appointments are scheduled.
- Appointments are required for remote tutoring sessions only.
- Students must bring all necessary equipment to their tutoring session (calculators, books, etc.).
- Eating and drinking are prohibited in the Math Center.

Remote tutoring is by appointment only. Students interested in scheduling a remote Math tutoring session should complete the Request a Remote Tutoring Appointment form. The Google Form appointment requests for weekday evenings and Saturday/Sunday will not be monitored 24/7! They will be checked periodically.
