MET Senior Projects

Senior Project Presentation Banner

Senior Project is the culmination of your education in the MET programs. It involves working on a hand-on project where you will research, design, analyze, and build a solution to a problem or a need defined by you, your advisor, and/or a local company. Unlike a traditional lecture-based class, you are expected to complete all the steps (design, analysis, and implementation) with guidance from a faculty advisor who will support your efforts.

The Senior Project will test your skills and knowledge, while also teaching you how to acquire new ones. A key learning outcome is your ability to tackle unexpected technical and non-technical challenges and address them promptly to complete the project on time. You will also be required to produce a professional technical report and present your work to your peers as part of the course requirements. A successful and impressive senior project can attract the attention of future employers and help you improve your resume.
