About Us
Launched in 2015 with a $3 million First in the World (FIPSE) grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the Research Aligned Mentorship (RAM) Program is designed to support the academic success and personal growth of low-income and first-generation college students.
Each year, up to 250 first-time, first-year undergraduate students are randomly selected to join RAM. From day one, they gain access to a strong support system that includes one-on-one mentorship, academic guidance, career exploration, and hands-on research opportunities.
Our mission is to empower students to thrive in college and beyond. Through meaningful relationships, high-impact learning experiences, and a focus on identity development, RAM helps students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed—both in their studies and in their post-graduate careers.
We’re more than a program—we’re a community committed to equity, engagement, and student success.
