Tutoring Course Availability

The Center for Academic Success & Tutoring (CAST) offers FSC students both in-person and remote tutoring options. For traditional face-to-face sessions on campus, please see below.

• CAST Tutoring Schedule: in-person appointment based tutoring sessions. Walk-ins may be accommodated, but cannot be guaranteed. 
  • Small group (up to 5 students) and online/remote appointments are available upon request. 

For fully online/remote sessions (both tutor and student are remote), please see below.

• NetTutor: drop-in based (no appointments, wait in a queue) individual online tutoring sessions via Brightspace with NetTutor tutors.

Course Not Listed?

Unfortunately, tutoring is not available for every course offered at the College. If you do not see the course for which you require assistance on the list above, it means tutoring is not available at this time. Please note that the list is subject to change and is updated as staffing changes. The list of courses varies from semester based on student demand and available staffing. 

What to Do Next

Visit your instructor's office hours or contact them via e-mail to arrange a time to meet for extra help. You can also contact the academic department to see if they have any resources available. You may want to consider seeking out peers in your class to form a study group.

Students may complete the to notify the CAST staff of their need. While the Center will try its best to find a tutor, there is no guarantee that a tutor will be available this semester. Please note: this link is only active during the first couple weeks of the semester while the Center conducts the hiring of new tutors.
